Synopsis

The film ‘Nhãndê kuery mã hi’ãn rivê hê’yn’ (We are not only shadows) narrates, in Guarani, the history and current challenges of the Paranapuã indigenous village, located in São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo, Brasil. The documentary proposes that indigenous people see themselves on a movie screen, as protagonists of their own history.
